Between the Walls, Druk.Press, a publication focused on the intersection of fashion and culture, and the CUT24/25 space have joined forces for a conversation about the role of art in design.

The event brought together Viktoriia Karieva, co-founder and lead designer of Between the Walls, and Andrii Dotsenko, editor-in-chief of Druk and head of PR at PinchukArtCentre, to explore:
– Why has art become essential in showroom design?
– Does every fashion space need art? Questions of positioning, brand value, and the designer's identity
– Design objects: where does art end and mass production begin?
– How do you meaningfully integrate art into a space?
(08.10.2025)
As part of the discussion, Viktoriia Karieva unveiled a conceptual pop-up installation featuring works by Ukrainian artists and design brands operating at the crossroads of art and functional design.
The installation creates a dialogue between contrasts: tactile, biomorphic forms meet sharp geometry; raw, material textures stand alongside refined objects that blur the line between art and utility.
Featured artists and brands include: ASSHA World, Anastasiia Leliuk, Pink Gentle Clouds, Vitalii Kokhan, ZEMNA, Olha Shtein, Tiini, and Furn Object.
Each contributor brings their own visual language, from poetic, almost organic shapes to bold minimalist statements.
Together, the installation becomes more than the sum of its parts: opposing aesthetics amplify each other, creating an unexpected synthesis. This interplay, the way art and design merge, shift meaning, and challenge function, was at the heart of the conversation.
