Nestled on Velyka Vasylkivska Street, the VV126 office exemplifies a cutting-edge approach to workspace design. Every element is meticulously crafted, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetic sophistication. This groundbreaking project artfully merges influences from classic American cinema with a profound respect for Kyiv's rich historical heritage.
Drawing inspiration from the cult series "Twin Peaks," the office's design centers around the iconic wooden panels reminiscent of the show's police department. This motif serves as the cornerstone of the office's aesthetic, infusing the space with the warmth of natural materials while striking a delicate balance between austerity and comfort. Complementing these wooden features, WOW floor tiles in the main area create a harmonious visual contrast, accentuating the interplay of textures throughout the space.
The furniture's clean, geometric lines underscore the architectural purity of the office, resulting in an elegant dance of form and texture. By employing a single material for tables and other furnishings, the designers have achieved a cohesive interior landscape. Decorative moldings, sockets, and baseboards pay homage to the building's historical roots, imbuing the space with a sense of gravitas. The choice of Forbo vinyl flooring ensures not only durability but also a pleasing tactile experience underfoot.
In a masterstroke of design, VV126 integrates the cool, sleek textures of marble and stainless steel with the warm wooden foundation. This juxtaposition heightens the space's sense of elegance and luxury. Suspended in the main area, a statement chandelier by Rydens serves as a focal point, adding a touch of refined charm to the overall aesthetic.
The office stands as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of modernity and tradition, fostering an environment conducive to both efficient work and creative inspiration. Creamy wall tones and the subtle relief of plastered brick contribute to a serene atmosphere, with every detail exuding comfort and style. The sophisticated Sancrea chairs and PRO PRO bar stools further reinforce the office's overarching concept, where simplicity and luxury converge to create a sense of equilibrium.
Between the Walls, the design firm behind VV126, draws heavily from contemporary art, seamlessly integrating these influences into their spatial creations. The VV126 project showcases this approach through the incorporation of unique cultural elements, including artifacts sourced from French flea markets and facade components from Lviv, provided by Re+Bureau. These touches add depth and individuality to the space. The walls are adorned with works by renowned Ukrainian artists Tamara Turlun, Vitaliy Kokhan, and Anton Sayenko, further enriching the office's cultural tapestry.Lighting plays a crucial role in the overall design scheme. In the main work areas, Pikart Lights pendants provide optimal illumination for productive work.
